CORSAIR KITCHEN

This kitchen was built and designed for a family that likes to eat and a mom that likes to cook.  We built the kitchen around wolf/sub zero appliances that we knew would deliver both functionally and visually.  The goal of this kitchen was to create a space that was timeless but with subtle layers that lean toward a more Scandinavian vibe.  The different counter edge details, hardware selections and finishes make the kitchen a little more unpredictable and also separates the space into two different vignettes.  The hard-surfaces were very simple and straight forward with a marble slab counter and backsplash.  While marble is a softer material and less forgiving, it was important we stay committed to it for its organic and less controlled qualities.  There is just something you get from the raw material that you don't get from man made products and the character it brings goes unmatched.  We kept the majority of the kitchen white but brought it some contrast and depth with a deep, grey/indigo paint color on the built-in refer and oven wall.  And lastly, but our most favorite, the nook.  The nook was designed to be a place for both coffee and cocktails and eventually homework. It is a place for kids, friends and family to hang while Mom cooks!
